A blend of British Manx Loaghtan wool with Llama down and silky Mint fibre ~ 100g. This blend can be used for all sorts of spinning projects but has been designed with light but warm projects such as mittens, hats and scarves/cowls in mind.
This blend combines the more rustic rare breed Manx wool with the softness of llama down. Mint fibre is a viscose made from the cellulose of mint plants - it resists the acid dyes so leaves a pleasing white contrast which shows up as a sheeny lustre as you spin. Sadly it doesn't smell of mint! This blend is both softer and easier to spin than pure Manx Loaghtan on it's own - try it for a pleasant surprise and the best of both worlds!
Each braid weighs approximately 100g (individual braids may vary by a couple of grams each way after dyeing and rinsing)
This wool blend is hand dyed with non-toxic acid dyes.
50% Manx Loaghtan wool
25% Llama down
25% Mint fibre (viscose)
This blend is made with natural protein fibres, not all of which are super wash treated and could potentially felt if not washed with care. Cool hand wash with a suitable detergent for wool/delicate items.
