A guest yarn base for Barber Black Sheep dyed in OOAK shades.

Yakky Da! is a fingering weight singles yarn spun from a sumptuous blend of superwash merino, yak down and silk. It is put up into 120g skeins for good yardage for shawls and other luxury items that benefit from the softness, lustre and drape of this unusual yarn.

  • 65% Superwash Merino / 20% silk / 15% yak
  • fingering / 4 ply weight - singles spun
  • 480m / 120g  (525yd / 4.2oz approx)
  • Cool hand wash recommended

All merino used by Barber Black Sheep comes from non-mulesed sheep and ethically farmed wool. (The merino in this yarn is from South America).

Please note that these are one-of-a-kind skeins and do not necessarily match other yarn bases with the same colour name due to the underlying yarn base fibre and colour.

Needle size dependant on your gauge and pattern. It is recommended that you always knit a sample swatch to determine the correct needle size for your own knitting tension as this varies from person to person.

Whilst this is a super wash yarn, Barber Black Sheep recommends all their hand dyed yarns should be hand washed gently in a suitable detergent for delicate items for best results.

This is an in-stock item ready to be shipped. If you purchase dyed-to-order yarns at the same time, this yarn will be shipped at the same time as the custom dyed yarns.
